Giraffe Moment
The other day I was talking to a friend and couldn’t remember what I was going to say. She said “Oh, it’s just a giraffe moment”. I had to have her explain because it didn’t make sense to me.
A giraffe tends to have a very small brain and when you throw something on the ground to feed it, it takes a bit to bend the neck down and move the legs apart to eat it. Unfortunately, about 3/4 of the way down, it forgets why it was bending down, so it goes back to the upright position.
How many times has that happened to you? I much prefer giraffe moment to senior moment - though I definitely qualify as a senior. Or gone into another room and suddenly don’t know why. Usually I go back to where I thought of it and often I remember. Sometimes it doesn’t and so far the world hasn’t come to an end because I couldn’t remember.
Since then I have used it several times and people really like it once I explain it. So I have decided to make some giraffe moment buttons to give to people as a bit of fun and a little shameless self promotion.
For a different view of a giraffe, you only have to look a the Native Americans and how they see animals as power animals.
